Name: Tyler Earles
City: Nashville, Tennessee
Team: Music City Polo
Years played: 1
Occupation: Music City Polo founder, Nashville’s city Rep, freelance graphic designer
Super Power: The ability to play on half-flat tires, generally just being a tank.
Favourite Heckle: WHIFFLE BALLLLLLLLLLL!
Bike: A ’96 Trek 720 Multitrack that I built from scraps (with a back wheel that’s worth more than the rest of the bike combined.)
What is your best polo memory? Piling up in our cars and driving to tourneys in Knoxville/Memphis to play against teams from all over the southeast. Drinking ’til we play better, wiping out after a few too many, and deciding that barbeque nachos from a food truck sound like a good idea.
Where do you see polo in 5 years time? ESPN 4
About your home town
Number of players: 5 or 6 regulars, with a good mixture of people that come out when the weather’s rad.
How often do you play? Every Sunday, with occasional mid-week sessions.
What is your home town famous for? Country music. I’d list all of the great things that we’re actually proud of, but nobody listens. They just know us by what they see on lower Broadway and their TV sets.
