Player profile #18 – Keely Kidner
Keely … insert short joke here! Keely may be short but on a bike she is a force to contend with. Channelling the canadian ice hockey skills she learned growing up, she’ll crank one right in the goalhole and make you look like an idiot. Ice hockey in Canada was mainly a ” boys” sport so she embraces the enclusivity of bike polo and supports more lady representation on the court. Here’s a bit more about Keely.
City: Welly (Wellington, New Zealand)
Years played: About 2 yrs
Super power: I grew up playing ice hockey
Favourite heckle: “Shuffle!”
Bike: Always changing / the smallest one, freewheel, dual brake if possible
Mallet: Milwaukee capped
Protection: Helmet
What do you love most about bike polo?
All you need is a bike, and you can build it yourself!
